Guest guest
for the sankalpa post on the group about when they plan to start, or if they have already started. One of our members, Vasantha, suggested that we keep track of our progress as a group. It is a wonderful suggestion, and it will be great if the participants send me a count of the mantras from time to time. I will put that into an excel spreadsheet and post on the group once a week. I look forward to many more people signing up and all of us that have signed up to begin our chanting soon. FYI, at the Mandir, they are chanting at the fire between 5 and 6 pm everyday and the folks chant a minimum of 10 malas of any one planet on a given day. I would recommend for those of us in the world to snatch a few minutes between our worldly tasks and complete a mala of the mantra. In this way, we can quickly capitalize on small chunks of time even if we dont have an hour to set aside. Just a suggestion .... I would love to hear how each of us are planning to proceed with the sankalpa ... JAI MOTHER EARTHJAI SHREE MAA JAI SWAMIJINanda Photos Ring in the New Year with Photo Calendars. Guest guest
Nanda: I started on the 22nd with one mala of that day's planet. Then I decided to do Shani's mantra every day; along with the day's planetary mantra. Then I read that it was a year-long sankalpa; so I devided the prescribed # of mantras into the # of weeks available to get the # of malas necessary in a day. So, for example I did 4 malas for Brihispati. Am doing 2 malas for Shani every day. My math is bad; so I'm probably still in error on the appropriate #s. Oh, I'm also starting out with one mala of Bhumi's Gayatri. dan , Nanda <chandimaakijai> wrote: > > Dear All, > Just a reminder about the Sankalpa suggested by Shree Maa for 2006 - chanting a minimum number of mantras for each of the Navagrahas this year.
