Guest guest
Namaste Manoharan, I have sent your email to Swamiji for his response. In the meanwhile , another devotee had a similar question on the Navarna mantra and here is what Swamiji had to say ================================== "The Navarana mantra should be received in initiation, but that is not always possible. There are no ill effects of reciting the mantra without initiation, if you have the intention of self purification, but the energy contained in the mantra is ever so much more potent after having received it from a qualified guru. In the absence of such a relationship, if you are devoted to the Divine Mother, then recite Her mantras with full faith, and when the circumstances permit, She will bring the appropriate guru to give you initiation. This is true for all mantras performed with the intention of self purification. If you have other intentions, please consult a qualified teacher." =================== Jai Maa Nanda , Manoharan Sukumaran <manoharan191> wrote: > > Dear Nandaji, > > I would like to have your opinion on my following request to Swamiji and Shree Maa. > > I am very much interested to read Chandi Path (Durga Sapatasati). But it is learned that the manthra "Om Iym hreem kleem Chamandayai, viche nama" should not be chanted unless, it is taught by a Guru. > > I do not have a Guru here at Pune, India and have never approached to one before. By this e-mail, I seek the permission and blessings of Swamiji & Shree Maa to recite the above manthra and read the Chandi Path. > > With Pranaams, > > Manoharan > > > > > Photos > Got holiday prints?
