Guest guest
I just love our beloved Swamiji's wisdom. It is always right on target! We are fortunate, indeed. I am recognizing how very deep and far reaching are the tendrils of such roots. If so, how do we cut these bonds? Thank you for your time. Swamiji's response: No, we do not escape from family ties - we perfect them. We use these relationships to offer the most pure expression of dharma that is possible, removing all selfishness from our actions. -- "Naan Amme Snehikkunnu" Be Love, Egyirba
Guest guest
Nanda, Please express my appreciation to Swamiji for his time and wisdom. I shall sit with his instruction for some time. I am contemplating his words. I understand his instruction regarding our purest expression of dharma and action without selfishness being with our family. This I have sensed and I think somehow such action does free me somewhat from getting "caught up" in the old family patterns. I practice this (I do mean practice because it still takes a lot of awareness not to get caught up). I am not as clear about how to deal with the seeds of karmic tendencies, samscaras, planted by family and nutured through the years by my own conscious and unconscious, voluntary and involuntary actions. >From what Swamiji says, am I to understand that there is no excape from family karmic inhertance, even if we no longer live with our families? I must assume that seva to the Gurus, conscious action, and sadhana will tame the unweildy karmic roots to something useful to Maa Devi. Any additional instruction or insight is welcomed.
