Namaste-

Forgive me if this question has been asked before. If it has, then

simply directing me to the message number will be appreciated.

I know that the Vaisnavas wear vertical sandalwood tilak, and the

Shaivas wear horizonal vibhuti tilak. I read that Shakta wear red

kumkum tilak, just as I see Shree Maa and Swamiji wearing. I was

wondering though, if a stripe of vibhuti goes behind that red dot? And

also, does one have to be a full initiate to wear tilak?

Blessings,

~Devi~
