Guest guest
Namaste- Lately I've been finding that my mind is in a state of profound stillness and receptiveness. I'm not quite sure what to do within that state. I have been using it to just pray and ask the Goddess to dwell within me, help perfect me and guide me in everyday life. I would like to be more "active" during this period, however, and was wondering what you all would suggest. I have also just ordered The Guru and the Goddess, as well as the video on the Meaning of Worship, so perhaps the answer will be in there? Guest guest
of receptivity and profound stillness...it is Her Home, Her Temple. You have arrived at Her Lotus Feet when you have found That Place, and She will meet you there in all Her Glory! Dwell within that State of Grace, and She will take you the rest of the way. The Love and Devotion which carried you to Her Home, is what will bring Her to You once you have arrived in the stillness of Her Temple. Enjoy the silence, become one with it; and your heart's cry will bring Her to You! I'm sure that Swamiji would have a much better explination than this, but I just wanted to let you know that to attain the state you have described is a great gift, and to trust where it will take you, with patience and faith. Guest guest
hi devi, the ideal thing to do is, don't put the energy into the world. let it stay where it is. use it for stabilization. peace,s. , CHARLES URBAN <chrisitine@v...> wrote: > > Dearest Devi, > > I am certainly no expert on consciousness; only a simple child who dearly loves God. However, the state of consciousness you speak of "profound stillness and receptiveness" is indeed a state of Grace, a state that yogis strive to attain. When we speak of "going somewhere, or being active within that state", it is rather like following a road map and arriving at the destination, and then not understanding that you have indeed arrived. We westerners still tend to ascribe worth and value only in the doing, and not in the being-ness of having arrived! To me, this seems to be a point of confusion for many of us. The mind likes to have something to "do", and tends to want to push away the void of beingness with activity. > > You, dear sister have found the boundry between "too much, and not enough".
