Dear leela ~ I live in a little desert valley too. Actually it is high desert in southwestern NM (Silver City), with the town and some of the surroundings (desertscape) at about 5,000 feet, nestled at the base of the Gila National Forest, with its beautiful pinon, pine and juniper trees at 6,000 + feet. Where are you? Nice to meet you ~ Linda
