An introduction to the Navagrahas ... Spotlight on Budh (Mercury)

Dear All,

 

How are the navagraha sankalpas going on ? I am doing 3 malas of the

planet of the day this week. It will great to get inspiration from

everyone - please do post and let us all know how you are doing.

Mercury ( Budh)

Mantra: Om Aim Strim Shrim Budhaaya Namah

 

Budh is Mercury. He stands not only for Intelligence, but Mercury is the

great communicator. He is the one who expresses. When we have all this

wisdom (Surya) and devotion (Soma) and welfare (Mars) it has to come out

in

some form of communication. Budh gives us the skills with which to

communicate this understanding.

Nandaji and all,

 

the sankalpa is going according to schedule (varying numbers per day,

but today I'm doing 5 mala's for Budh). To be honest, I am still

trying to get comfortable with the handpositions and struggling with

the pronounciation (a slip of the mind immediately becomes a slip of

the tongue). I also hope to develop a 'feel' for the different planets

and their energies as I go along, because right now the practice is a

little dry. But never mind all that, it is great to be part of this

sankalpa and it is interesting to see how things develop over the next

30 weeks,

 

"Whose beloved body is dark like darkness,

whose image is like the form of Intelligence,

whose qualities are most beautiful,

to that Mercury, emblem of Intelligence,

we bow down in devotion."
