So we are kind of on opposite sides of NM, and you're a bit higher up than I am. My first year here, I lived in Pinos Altos (PA), an old mining town, with the Gila national forest all around. There's something very special about being in a higher altitude (hence, all the pilgrimages to the Himilayas). I loved it there, but, due to my illness we had to move closer to town. Doug, my hubby and I have even seen deer in town, over by the University area. Up in PA there were deer, bison, coyote, hawks, even an eagle now and then, and quail. I'm sure there are other types of wildlife that I haven't seen, but each time feels like a gift from Mother Earth, just to have that glimpse. It's kind of nice to know I have a Mandir "neighbor," even on the other side of the state. : ) Blessings ~ Linda
