chanted the Chandi, Swamiji repeated the following verse twice to

emphasize its importance. The verse was Chapter 4, Verse 39 and its

meaning is "Oh King, when the Gods prayed for the welfare of

themselves and the world, the Excellent One Beyond Time was pleased,

and saying , "Let it be so", vanished from sight." To me the verse

took on specific importance in the view of our group sankalpa to the

Earth Mother. This sankalpa is beautiful in so many aspects - it is

given to us by our beloved Shree Maa, and we are praying for the

welfare of ourselves and the world (Earth Mother). So surely the

Excellent One Beyond Time should be pleased with us .... May we

continue

to do so! Here is how we are offering our love to our Earth Mother
