Namaste Nanda & Surya,

Just finished looking at the Panchangams for Albuquerque and San

Francisco. San Francisco shows Saturday, February 25, 2006 for

Mahasivaratri and Albuquerque shows Sunday, February 26. For both

cities the moon is in Makara Rasi ( Capricorn ) on Mahasivaratri.

Hi,

Forgive me. When did this change or did I just read it wrong the

first time? Didn't it say 2/26 earlier?

I scheduled all our celebrations around this date, but want to be accurate.

Thanks,

Surya

Hope it is not too much for you to reschedule

So 2/26 is only right for India but here it should be 2/25?

Everywhere else on the web said 2/26. I would actually have

preferred it to be 2/25 because that is Sat and then all can stay up

much easier, etc.

I always find this so interesting. Even the Hindu Temples of

California are divided down the middle on the subject with the

predominance going towards the 26th.

How does one view the lunar calendar for their specific location?

What exactly do you look for to tell which is the right day?

Surya
