Guest guest
Dear all, after having chanted the Brihaspati mantras yesterday, as given in the original post and in the Cosmic Puja book, "om aim klim hum brhaspataye namah", I thought it would be nice to hear Shree Maa chant. So I put on the Nine planets cd, and heard, I must say to my bewilderment, Shree Maa sing "om hrim klim hum brhaspataye namah". And after having consulted the leaflet enclosed with the CD, I found that there also the latter form of the mantra is given. So now I'm confused: are there two mantra's then? Why? And what is the correct one to use for the sankalpa? Or is it just me? And if I have chanted the wrong form, should I start all over again? with love, Henny
Guest guest
I had the exact same question last Sunday and I asked Swamiji the following Is the bija for Brihaspati Om Aim Klim Hum Brihaspataye Namaha or om Hrim Klim Hum Brihaspataye Namaha ? And Swamiji said :"Both. From different sources.I use Aim most frequently." Hope this helps. Whether Hrim or Aim, both the mantras are a part of this sankalpa. Guest guest
Hi Berijoy, The pronunciation is "sur Yaaya" . Maa in her sweet, singing voice says it as "sur Jaaya". I think this is the influence of Maa's North East Indian roots . This reminds me of Swamiji's book "Pronunciation and the Chandi Samputs" where he talks about the local language in a region influencing the Sanskrit pronunciation. Hope this helps Nanda , Devi's Daughter <devi.daughter wrote: > > and jumping on the tail of henny's question--i am chanting the surya > mantra which is listed as > om hrim hrm suryaya namah but on the cd -- it sounds like Maa singing > "surJayya." can anyone bring clarity to me on this one? > > egyirba > > henny_v_i wrote: > > Dear all, > > > > after having chanted the Brihaspati mantras yesterday, as given in the > > original post and in the Cosmic Puja book, "om aim klim hum > > brhaspataye namah", I thought it would be nice to hear Shree Maa > > chant. Guest guest
p.s. i meant to add: and thanks for clearing that up because of course, the tendency would be to follow how Maa says it! glad to know now!
