I am just curious to know how you made the time available - did you set aside a chunk of time for the sadhana ? For me, I like to chant my mantras while commuting to and from work. I find myself completing atleast 10-12 malas each day this way. It is also a good way to make use of time that I would have otherwise spent day dreaming or just wasting away. I would love to know how each of us set aside the time for our E.Mother Sankalpa. I look forward to hearing all the creative ideas. Namaste Nanda, >From the start. After we returned from AZ and CA, and during catching up on email, EMS became a focal point for me as well as adjusting to back home. First for me was to check the Panchangam to determine the starting date, Sunday January 29th was a auspicious day to start. Next was the flow for me to do each planet on its day. So starting on January 29th with Surya and knowing that each planet would be in turn, it was Tuesday January 31st when the realization came that if 10% of the total malas for that planet was done on that day, then it would take 10 weeks. That day created an Excel spreadsheet with columns for the Planet, Starting Japa ( 6,000 15,000 etc. ), Number of Malas ( 60 150 etc. ), malas recited this week, malas recited to date, remaining japa ( =SUM(B6,-E6*100 ) , and # of malas per week for 10 weeks ( 6, 15 etc. ). Printing the spreadsheet at the end of each week becomes my notebook - scratch sheet for the next week. Now at a glance the past, present and future view for my part is there. The amount of time required each day made it easy to schedule early morning and evening times for japa. Thank you for the EMS , for our cyber group, and Nanda for coordinating. Namaste Nanda and group, Thank you for posting above. My first week seemed to be preparation, purpose, and plan. By Wednesday plan was clear, time was the challenge, Saturday was intensity and realization. The second week time was available and the flow smooth, meditation natural. Wonderful to be part of Earth Mother Sankalpa. Om Namah Sivaya Kanda Mail Use Photomail to share photos without annoying attachments.
