Dear Nanda ~ so, if I periodically sent a donation to the Mandir, it would be welcome? This may seem a silly question, but the job of a guru is to be a guru, and so the guru doesn't have a "day job" like some of us. When we purchase items from the bookstore, does any of that money go back to the Mandir to provide for Maa and Swamiji and the building of the ashram and so on? Thank you for any clarity you can offer on this ~ Linda

And yes it is absolutely welcome for you and for anyone that has felt the inspiration to donate according to their individual capacities.Yes, we want Maa and Swamiji to keep inspiring us!Yes, they dont have "day jobs" - but a full time job to keep inspiring the world, by showing us how to live a life of Sadhana. And Yes, they never ask !But...Just because they never ask , sometimes we (I) forget! Dear Nanda ~ thank you so much for this feedback, and you are correct, and I am glad that the group had a discussion about Dakshina, because we do forget. We get caught of in the excitement of being part of a new group sankalpa, of Shivaratri, of our own spiritual practices ... so in the midst of all our joy, it is really important to remember and thank those who showed us the way, who have showered indescribable joy on all of us.
