Guest guest
"When I first got the Shiva Puja Beginner, I was so intimidated. It seemed so long. I thought I would never be able to do it. When I pulled it out today, I felt a great sense of enthusiasm and joy. The picture on the front cover thrilled me, and when I scanned through the book, I loved what I was reading. Now, this one who is still a beginner feels no hesitation. I can do the puja. This may seem a small thing to some, but for me it is huge...not just the belief that I can do it, but the enthusiasm and desire I have to do it. Shiva Ki Jai " Thank you Linda for sharing your enthusiasm and pure desire to worship Shiva with the group. On the 25th of Feb, each person according to his/her capability can do one or more of the following 1) Beginner Shiva Puja atleast once (more if you are doing according to the 4 times of worship on Shivaratri night - 6 pm,9 pm, midnight and 3 am ) 2)Advanced Shiva Puja atleast once or more 3)Chant the Shiva Sahasranam atleast once or more 4) Chant the Rudri atleast once or more 5) Offer atleast water/milk/yoghurt/ghee/honey/sugar to your Shiva Lingam/picture 6) Chant one mala or more of "Om Namah Shivaya" 7) Chant one or more malas of the Maha mrityunjaya mantra (you can do it as a part of the prayer club too) It would be great if everyone could share what they plan to do to make Shiva's night a wonderful devotional experience.
