I have been sort of coming and going for a little over a year now. Now I am here to stay. Why? First, Swamiji seems to have this really big powerful magnet that he aims in my direction every time I get scared and run away. (I get scared because I compare myself with other people, feel bad because I am not doing as much in the way of puja, etc ... ) Then Swamiji aims his magnet in my direction, and I literally feel a pull that inexorably draws me back to the group. Now I don't worry about what I can't do. I learn what I can, do what I can, and am joyfully grateful to Shree Maa, Swamiji, and this wonderful group of people. I have a natural inclination toward visionary experiences ... most of mine have been more shamanic in nature. But recently, once when I ran away, once when I was really tired and was thinking of not doing the planet mantra for that day, I saw Swamiji's beautiful, beloved smiling face floating in front of me. It was as if he were saying, "C'mon Linda, you can do it; it's not as hard as you think." And then he disappears like the cheshier cat. This is Shiva's week because it is part of an ancient Hindu tradition leading up to tonight, actually, which is Shivaratri. Those who can manage it, and you can be sure Swamiji and Shree Maa, as well as many members of the digest, will participate in the fasting and in the all night celebration for Shivaratri. Guest guest
Many thanks Linda, After being on the "path" for many years now, everything seems to have a crispy clarity, but still feel the need to have other insights along the way, as well. This helps me stay humble. My experiences are validated through visions, and physical manifest events. I am trusting my process even more as I grow in the "Cosmic Lord", Father / Mother Creator. I am a listener of the divine within and without, and often see ortbs of yellow bubbles near me; perhaps angelic teachers and or Master. One time years ago I had the privilege to sit facing Ramakrishnaandaji, an American yogi in Costa Meas, Ca. To each side of him were two huge glows of yellow orbs, that I was beside myself wondering who the were. I asked Swamaji who they were, and he indicated that one was Christ on the one side and the other was Ramakrishna himself. As I see these elements, I sometimes don't full grasp it cognitively. And so, I can't tell you who comes to my living room unless I clearly see them as defined. Sai Baba materialized in my living in 1987, and I could sees that I knew it was Baba clearly in my living room. He asked me to come to India, which I did. To make a long story short, I am a listener to the subtle energies. So, last year I saw that Mataji and Swamiji where in Napa, I felt I wanted to connect then, but wasn't the right time. Now, again I am connecting and it feel stronger. And after hearing Mataji's voice, that did it for me, my heart just opened up, giving me a tickle, as I like to call it. It is the same when I am "tickled by the Lord. Having vision of Shiva with Trident and matted hair on top, It is felt that I am becoming to understand more and more as the years go by as to the significance of my visions. I will help others in the future in such a way that as I proceed, and learn the Shiva puja's etc, I will be able to focus better and join in prayer from a distance. Well, wishing you well, and in all good and peace, Edward - nierika (AT) aol (DOT) com Friday, February 24, 2006 3:05 PM Re: To Edward about This Week it is Shiva Edward wrote: >> ...But, I have to ask why is it Shiva's week? > What makes it so, in comparison to other weeks?
