Dear Kaliananda ~ I believe I wrote a similar question, though your sadhana is well beyond what I am currently capable of. Swamiji responded affirmatively to a question I asked awhile ago about whether it is okay for me, due to my illness, to do my recitation reclining in bed. Since one of the illnesses I have (Fibromyalgia is the worst) is Chronic Fatigue, I do sometimes fall asleep while chanting. I have given up worrying about it ... what better way to drift into sleep than while chanting. Of course, others, including Swamiji, may have a different view on this, but I have noticed that Swamiji, in all of his answers, responds quite specifically to the person's circumstance, unless, of course, the question is a general one. Jai Swamiji ~ Linda P.S. After a very difficult week, I feel I will fall asleep and my head will land on my keyboard, so perhaps I should go rest and do some chanting in the meanwhile.
