Is it appropriate to always chant it with the samputs? Dear Gauri ~ where did you find the samputs for the MM Mantra? Also, is there anyone who can explain to me what chanting something with samputs means? I know there is a special book with the samputs for the Chandi Path, and I've really been wondering about this. Thank you Gauri, and anyone else who can help answer my question. Jai Maa , Jai Swamiji ~ Linda
Guest guest
Namaste Linda, I learned to chant with samputs with Swamiji. Whast it entails is that one chants a certain mantra (one word, many words) before and after the given mantra (i.e., the MM mantra) In other words you "sandwich the Maha Mrtyinjaya mantra between this samput. You have seen the list of samputs for the Chandi so you can see what I mean. Once at the Mandir we chanted the Guru Gita with Om Namah Sivayah as a samput between easch and every verse.....absolutely fabulous! Hope this helps.
