To Nanda about EMS Questions

Dear Nanda ~ thank you for the encouragement, and Krista, welcome and

wow! There are still a couple of things I don't understand about the

EMS. As part of "The Main Article," which for anyone who doesn't

already know is in the "Files" section of our site, each planet

has a number associated with it, two actually, depending on whether

you do the japa alone or whether you do it at the fire.

So, for example, for Surya, it says 60 malas; for Chandra, 150 malas;

for Mangala, 80 malas. Are these numbers we each strive to reach by

the end of the year as part of our sadhana?

Also, somewhere at the point where we started this sankalpa, I

remember the book, "Cosmic Puja" being mentioned, it seemed, at the

time, within the context of the EMS. So I bought a copy. But I could

find no mention of it in "The Main Article." Is there some way in

which recitation of this puja ties in with the EMS sankalpa?
