Can one put it on and leave it on or should itbe removed in some situations or are there any restrictions at all? Dear theresa ~ I am very interested in any answers you receive to this question. I bought a small squarish pendant with a beautiful picture of Krishna on it, with many beautiful colors. Since I am a jewelry maker I couldn't wait to find what beads I had would match this pendant, and when I made the necklace, I included beads that had all the colors in the picture. But I have never worn it. I feel I should give it as a gift to someone. I wonder if Shree Maa would like it, even if she didn't wear it. For some reason, I can't explain, even though it turned out very beautifully, I just felt it doesn't belong to me, so I don't know what to do with it. However, I will add that I have visited many Indian/Hindu websites, some of which sell pendants from which to make jewelry, some of which sell the actual jewelry itself. So I guess my feeling is that if there were some strong prohibition against wearing these images as part of a necklace or pin or something, they wouldn't be so widely available.
