I am not quite sure what Swamiji means by "Giving of the fruits of our actions means supporting their sadhana" other than to say that my understanding from the Bhagavad Gita is that ultimately we want to have equanimity (non attachment) when we encounter all the pairs of opposites, pleasure and pain etc. This may support the Gurus because if we are able to have balance and equanimity more and more often, then we are more present, less distracted, and more able to focus on what they want and need. As to how one goes about surrendering the fruits of action, first understanding that this is the goal, understanding how Ego plays into the lack of equanimity, and then desire to change and effort to change. Inspiration helps. I have to say that Parvati Ma has inspired me. I have seen her many many times showing equanimity among ups and downs at the Devi Mandir, with Maa's praise or reprimanding etc. Thank you Parvati. Jai Maa! Guest guest
Dear All, The most useful way to support the Guru's sadhana, especially for those of us too far away to be of service, is with money. This is not a philosophical discussion but a practical matter. Even Gurus have bills to pay. It is so wonderful that Shree Maa and Swamiji were directed by Ramakrishna to take up residence in the US. Their presence here is much needed. Their sadhana here is a huge blessing for this country. Practically speaking, and this is from me not from them or Devi Mandir, if even roughly half of the devotees in this group (about 500) tithed even $10 a month, that would be $5000 a month. Surrendering the money fruit of our work action would be a dynamic way to support the Guru's sadhana. IMHO. For all thank you
