Guest guest
Dear Friends, Namaste! Happy Monday Morning to you! With Navaratri coming up, two most important scriptures to consider are Chandi Path and Cosmic Puja. You may remember that the Cosmic Puja was the sadhana that King Suratha and Samadhi performed for three years to propitiate the Goddess. I have been offering cosmic puja for a few weeks and would be very interested if there is any one out there who is also so doing. I would also be interested in your questions about the Cosmic Puja. Below is my log from diary on the first day that I performed the Cosmic Puja: Log begins Magh Maase, Krishna Pakshe, Sapthami 20th February 2006 Om! Today was my first Cosmic Puja at Devi Mandir (I had never done the full puja before). I got up at 4:30. Parvati Ma and Gautam Baba had kindly given me tips the night before and Ramya Ma had kindly made a box of turmeric, rice, basil, kumkum, and sandalwood powder. I set up the altar and was comparing the cosmic puja map with the book when my Beloved Maa and Swamiji walked in. Prompted by Ramya Ma, I went and made Pranams at Maa's Lotus feet. Maa said Pujari ki Jai! She asked me if I was nervous. I might have mumbled something. She said, "No need to be nervous. All She wants is your devotion." I then went and made pranam to our Beloved Swamiji. He smiled and said "have a good puja." I must have started at 5:30 and ended at 9. Couldn't believe it! I sat in the same asan for 3 ½ hours. God's grace and Guru's grace is kind. After Swamiji finished his Sadhana, he told me the Kram in our tradition is first Puja, then Path and then Homa and then we combine Path and Homa. Later, I was walking back with Swamiji when he had finished the Chandi with samput at the fire. He said the longer you sit the deeper is your experience. I told him that I thought it was a miracle that I was able to sit for 3 ½ hours. He said he noticed and he said that it was not a miracle and just the result of my sankalpa. I pray that I may serve our Beloved Maa and Swamiji with pure love. Chandi Maa! Please bless me with pure devotion. Later Maa asked how my legs were. I said it was a miracle that I was able to sit for 3 ½ hours. She said it was Chandi Maa's grace. end of log with love and prayers srini
Guest guest
Namaste Srini Baba, Thank you very much for starting the Cosmic Puja log. It is thrilling to read -and I look forward to many many more installments to come. With the Spring Navaratri around the corner, can you also recommend a few pages from the Cosmic Puja that we could focus on as a group ? It will be a great way to introduce us to this wonderful puja. Thank you for your time and for keeping us focussed on this puja for this Navaratri season. Guest guest
Dear Nanda and Linda, > With the Spring Navaratri around the corner, can you also recommend a > few pages from the Cosmic Puja that we could focus on as a group ? It > will be a great way to introduce us to this wonderful puja. > Jai Maa! Our Beloved Swamiji writes in the intro to the Cosmic Puja "There is no end to the amount of systems of worship one might perform. If you perform this paddhoti (system of worship) straight through, it should take at least two and half to three hours at the fastest and well-practiced pace. If you cannot sit that long, choose the mantras and viddhis that are most applicable to your worship, and use them as abasis to create your own pujas, according to your capacity. The objective is to dedicate as much time as you can to the exclusive concentration on the Divine Mother and Her divine family." My humble suggestion: P 12 - p40 (Devata Pranam, Dhyanam, Acamana, Sankalpa, Ganesha Puja) p 64 - p68 (Samanyarghya, Puspa Suddhi) p 137 - p146 (Yantra Puja and Sarvato Bhadramandala Sthapanam) p 171 - p181 (Yogini Puja) p 205 - p209 (Pitha Nyaasa) p 210 - p212 Avahana p 212 - p217 Prana Prathishta p 217 - p219 Stapana p 220 - p241 Puja Naivedya p 334 - p335 Puspanjali with love and prayers, srini , "Nanda" <chandimaakijai wrote: > > > Namaste Srini Baba, > > Thank you very much for starting the Cosmic Puja log.
