With Navaratri coming up, two most important scriptures to consider

are Chandi Path and Cosmic Puja. You may remember that the Cosmic

Puja was the sadhana that King Suratha and Samadhi performed for

three yearsto propitiate the Goddess. I have been offering cosmic

puja for a few weeks and would be very interested if there is any one

out there who is also so doing. I would also be interested in your

questions about the Cosmic Puja.

Dear srini ~ thank you so much for sharing your experience of doing

the Cosmic Puja and all that went along with it. These stories that

devotees who are at the Mandir tell of their experiences with Maa and

Swamaji are precious gems. Each time I read one, I add another

beautiful gem to my Cosmic Necklace (and save the story in the Mandir

section on my computer).

Before we started the Mother Earth Sankalpa (now known as EMS), the

Cosmic Puja was mentioned, I thought in some kind of association with

the EMS. So I bought a copy immediately (partly because I am always

getting left behind because I don't have the right book for whatever

we are doing). But then, until now, it has never been mentioned

again.

So my questions:

* Is there any relationship between the Cosmic Puja and the EMS?

Besides chanting the 9 Planets Mantras, is there some way in which we

could be using the Cosmic Puja to give a greater oomph to the energy

we are sending to Mother Earth?

* In what way is the Cosmic Puja related to Navaratri. I am aware from

reading the back cover and from reading some of the text, that, unless

I misunderstood, the Cosmic Puja is actually a part of the Chandi Path

that is separated out as a separate puja. If I am confused, I will

gladly welcome any clarity about this.

I was happy to make it through the whole Shiva Beginner Puja, and I

wasn't even able to sit in asan, so wow! I am so happy for you,

srini, that the Goddess gave you the grace to do that.

Thanks for the inspiration. Jai Maa , Jai Swamiji

The Cosmic Puja is the worship or meditation on the Universal Divinity, the

Infinite. The

sankalpa says that we do the worship for the satisfaction of the respected

Chandi.

Included in the Puja are the Puja for the 9 planets (p 167 - 171). That would be

the

connection with EMS.

Navaratri celebrates the Divine Mother, the cosmic worship is the most beautiful

and

elaborate puja to worship the Divine Mother that I know of. Its a lot of fun

especially when

you know what you are doing.

The Cosmic Puja is the worship that Suratha and Samadhi did for three years. The

Chandi

Path is the story (in part) of how Suratha and Samadhi got to worship the Divine

Mother.

The Puja is not part of the Chandi Path. In Devi Mandir, the cosmic puja and

Chandi Path

are chanted everyday.

Thank you very much for your email.

with love and prayers

Thank you very much for starting the Cosmic Puja log. It is thrilling

toread -and I look forward to many many more installments to

come. With the Spring Navaratri around the corner, can you also

recommend afew pages from the Cosmic Puja that we could focus on as a

group ? Itwill be a great way to introduce us to this wonderful

puja.Thank you for your time and for keeping us focussed on this puja

forthis Navaratri season.

Dear srini ~ I looked in the Files section of our site, and I

didn't see a Cosmic Puja Log. Is the log on our Site in some

other section? I also second Nanda's request for "a few pages from

the Cosmic Puja that we could focus on as a group." My health being

what it is, and isn't, a few pages would be more possible for me.

Thank you so much ~ Linda

Our Beloved Swamiji writes in the intro to the Cosmic Puja"There is no

end to the amount of systems of worship one might perform. If you

perform this paddhoti (system of worship) straight through, it should

take at least two and half to three hours at the fastest and

well-practiced pace. If you cannot sit that long, choose the mantras

and viddhis that are most applicable to your worship, and use them as

abasis to create your own pujas, according to your capacity. The

objective is to dedicate as much time as you can to the exclusive

concentration on the Divine Mother and Her divine family."My humble

Dear srini ~ thank you so much for this information. I am so happy to

have it, and I will print it out and tape it into my Cosmic Puja

book, the same way I put the Seedha Path information provided by

Nanda into my Chandi path. Now I am trying to remember what Nanda

said about using the Cosmic Puja during Navaratri...anything more

about that? When is Navaratri?

Thank you again ~ Linda
