Dear Manoj,

I must apologize for venturing to discuss a matter which you had clearly

addressed to Swamiji. I was reading through the postings much too

hastily and missed that important point. Haste makes waste; it also

sometimes makes for embarrasment.

Oh well, its not the first time I made that mistake, and it may not be

the last---I'll keep my apologies ready for future use as well!

Respectfully,

Tanmaya

Hello Tanmaya:

There is no need to apologize. In fact, I was enjoying the flow of

discussion that you initiated.

If anything, I need to apologize. You rate me too highly ("sadhu"

etc, I went red on my brown skin); I apologize for when you will see

the real me ain't any sadhu. and this statement ain't any false

humility cloak. :).

I enjoy reading your posts and the clarity of your thoughts.

Jai Ma!

Dear Manoj,

I've already seen you; your postings tell a lot.

1. You write to alleviate my embarrasment - so you have compassion.

2. You can laugh at yourself before an audience - so you have true

humility.

3. Your writing shows clarity and depth - which requires purity of mind.

4. You ask the gurus quality spiritual questions - which, it is said,

indicates a lot of ground covered on the Path.

5. And, most of all, when you have touched the feet of a Maha-Guru,

even virtually, the jig is up. I predict that your alleged worldliness

is in great danger.

Sri Ramakrishna said that when a frog is caught by an ordinary water

snake, the snake can neither spit the frog out again nor swallow it,

so both experience great agony, and the frog croaks all night. But

when the cobra bites, the frog takes one, or at most two, more

jumps---then Silence.

Respectfully,

Tanmaya
