We are going to have two group sankalpas and all participants can do one or both depending on their time and inclination... The first sankalpa is chanting the Chandi from cover to cover and finishing it in 8 days. The ninth day we will just give thanks to our Gurus for helping us on the way. The second sankalpa is chanting the entire Cosmic Puja books from cover to cover and finishing it in 8 days. Again, it does not matter if you have ever done a puja before, let alone the Cosmic Puja , which is very advanced and sophisticated.. The idea is to just chant the mantras and/or read the translations so that we all take a first stab at this wonderful puja. This will be my first complete recitation of the cosmic puja too and so I am as excited as everyone else... Lets pray that at the end of the Navaratri, we all come away with a glimpse of understanding of this magnificent puja... We can post high level questions on the portions that we are chanting each day and get answers for them too.. So folks that would like to participate for Navaratri, please keep these books handy - the Chandi Path and the Cosmic Puja. I remember last year we also chanted the Chandi, and at first I could not believe we really were supposed to chant the entire book! But we did, and I am so glad we are going to have a group sankalpa again. I think I'd be lost without you all. Thank you, Linda dear, for asking Nanda to give us a sneak preview (there is so much fun in anticipation) and thank you Nanda for your tireless seva. I can't wait to be able to try the Cosmic Puja and be able to ask questions, and perhaps add some things to my puja practice. And of course, I bow again and again to our Guru's for bringing us all together in prayer and for teaching us so much, JAI MAA!
