Guest guest
Dear all, There is one shloka in the Chandi which uses the term "Vinamra" or "Vinamrata" - the term so beautifully defined by Swamiji as "bowing continuously" or "humility"... Anyone knows where the term is used in the Chandi ? (If you do find out, to you goes half my kingdom, and my daughter's hand in marriage!!! Gulp, on second thoughts ... just great appreciation and acknowledgement that you are one smart cookie) Jai MAA Nanda

Guest guest
Dear Nanda, Vinamra can be found in Chap 4 (The intrinsic nature of hunger, praised by Gods in song) vs 82. "We Gods have been harassed by arrogant thoughts in the manner of men and at this time all of us Gods bow to the Seer of All, who, when bowed to with devotion and remembered in a physical image, immediately terminates our every adversity." Thanks for this opportunity. Guest guest
Dear Nanda, you could have kept your daughter, but I don't know if I would have said no to half your kingdom:): the term 'vinamra' can be found in chapter 5 verse 82 (and is repeated in the Tantric Devi Suktam verse 30), where it is said that 'We Gods have been harassed by arrogant thoughts in the manner of humans, and at this time all of us Gods bow to the Seer of All, who, when bowed to with devotion, and remembered in a physical image, immediately terminates our every adversity'. The verse is followed by the appearance of the Goddess. may we always remember to bow down in gratitude, with love, henny , "Nanda" <chandimaakijai wrote: > > Dear all, > > There is one shloka in the Chandi which uses the term "Vinamra" > or "Vinamrata" - the term so beautifully defined by Swamiji as "bowing > continuously" or "humility"... > > Anyone knows where the term is used in the Chandi ?
