Guest guest
Nanda posted Swamiji's response to Steve's Question: Question from Steve:...When you said the "Divine I has taken his or her mind into complete absorption in the causal body" ... does "complete" indicate one's mind is absorbed into the causal body without returning? In your view is it possible or desirable to live one's life completely outside the relative mind?Swamiji's response:It is neither desirable nor possible to live completely submerged in the absolute. Neither Brahma, Vishnu, nor Shiva are free from manifestation in duality. Everyone must return from complete absorption. But to even be in that state for any time is a rare privilege, which is highly regarded. Dear Swamiji ~ I am overwhelmed by your response. I'm not sure why, but on one hand, it is not perhaps what one would expect, and on the other hand, it recognizes what is ... we must return to the state of duality. What you say seems so simple, exemplifies common sense, and at the same time I believe I could read it over and over and continue to find new meaning. And I have never forgotten what you wrote to in answer to one of my questions (paraphrase): To say/pray often: Divine Mother, what a privilege to be a part of your magnificent creation. Now I am speechless. Jai Swamiji, thank you so much for your time ~ Linda
