Dear Nanda and group,

Shree Maa asks,"What is devotion?" to me.....this is a beautiful

answer:

Swamiji.....

"Another very beautiful term for humility in Sanskrit is Vinamrata: a

state of continuous bowing."

For me, the aspiration of Devotion is exactly this: Vinamrata: to be

in a state of continuous bowing to the wonder of manifestation. It

has the quality of awe, the quality of worship,The quality of one-

pointedness, the quality of careful attention, the quality of respect,

the quality of gratitude, the quality of purity, the quality of

gentleness and, most of all, the quality of infinite Love.

I always think of Lord Hanuman...his playfulness, his strength, his

sweetness, his brilliance, bravery, humility, intelligence, "human-

ness"...all of his wonderful and uncountable qualities ...placed at

the feet of his beloved Lord Rama with fully focused

attention...nothing else mattered, nothing else was seen...just Lord

Rama.To me, this is Devotion.....a state of continuous bowing.
