Guest guest
I was reading from the Durga Puja Beginner book this evening (Swamiji, 2001). In the Durga Chalisa on pages 44-45 there is this verse: "jaba lagi jiyahum daya phala paum tumharo jasa maim sada sunaum When the Fruit of Compassion touches my heart, I only want to always sing your praises." Before this there is description of the suffering caused by wishes and desires and prayer for the Great Queen to intervene and destroy all enemies. I think perhaps that urge, "I only want to always sing your praises", to sing Praises to the One that is our hope, our Inspiration, and the One that frees us, is an example of devotion. Om Bliss it is, Om to Satsang, Om to Siva, Om to Kali, Om to all that question their own worth, Om to all that value their own worth, Om to all the devine children being born each day, Om to all old codgers, Om to us that have divine perspective, Om to us that look for divine perspective, Om to Om.
