For me, the aspiration of Devotion is exactly this: Vinamrata: to be

in a state of continuous bowing to the wonder of manifestation. It

has the quality of awe, the quality of worship,The quality of

respect, the quality of gratitude, the quality of purity, the quality

of gentleness and, most of all, the quality of infinite Love....a

state of continuous bowing.

Dear sadhvi ~ thank you for your wonderful definition of Devotion. I

especially like that you included "awe" as one of the qualities. For

me the presence of awe is predicated on the fact that, in some way, I

am experiencing, acknowledging, and/or witnessing the Presence of the

Divine. (And I am still thinking about how all this applies to

something so mundane as doing the dishes.) : ) Jai Maa ~ Linda
