Guest guest
Dear "for all", Thanks for posting this story!Remember the other day Linda was talking about her current interest in bringing the quality of devotion into "washing dishes"? I immediately thought about that when I read the story of Maa as a girl, throwing her broom into the corner and then realizing that even the broom was alive! Since I am someone who names my vacuum cleaners and, regularly, discusses what they might like to do on a given day (lol), I really appreciated this story from Maa. Recently, I took a layer of polyurethane off an old wooden counter in the kitchen of a house I just moved into. It was AMAZING how the wood literally came alive! As though it had been trapped and unable to breathe underneath the coating of plastic. As I was rubbing bee oil into the counter-top, incredible patterns of tiger stripes, fish scales, whirling galaxies and tiny insect trails began to emerge from what had appeared to be "nothing much" at first glance! That night, I looked up at the sky and saw all of the constellations with their names: the dippers and Orion's belt...etc. I thought how interesting it was to see patterns of galaxies in the wooden counter-top and horses and dippers in the night skies....all one infinite system. sadhvi
