Dear Steve ~ I am so glad you added this postscript to what you previously wrote. I agree that just thinking about Maa's question is pulling me into a devotional state of mind. How interesting ... a question about something could bring you to the state of mind/being which the question is about. Ah, but then the question did come from Shree Maa. I also totally believe that devotion is simple thinks, especially like showing up...showing up to recite the Planets Mantras, showing up for the Prayer Club seva, showing up to read and post to the digest, showing up to read any of Shree Maa's and Swamiji's wonderful books or to listen to their marvelous CDs, showing up to clean one's (my) altar, showing up to light a candle and some incense on my altar, showing up to do puja or prayer or meditation, showing up to wash the dishes. And yes, devotion being a nonjudgemental look at what we are doing, where we are not being devoted and taking care of that (without, as you said, that little screeching kid, "deprecation" on our shoulders. Just showing up ... with an attitude of gratitude. Jai Maa , Jai Swamiji ~ Linda
Guest guest
Yes, I have to agree. When the wod comes into my mind, it does not come alone. There is a feeling of warmth to overflowing of the heart since for me devotion is inextricable from Shree Maa and Swamiji. Jai Maa! Jai Swamiji!
