Guest guest
Here is something that Maa encourages us to do - to cook , offer to God, and serve food , chanting mantra all the time. Mantra during cooking:The mantra could be one's own Guru mantra, or a mantra that one prefers , or "Om Hrim Chandikayai Namah". Mantra for offering:We chant the Annapurna mantra"Om Annapurne Sada purne Shankara prana vallabheJnana vairagya siddhyartham Bikshaam dehe namostuteMata cha Parvati devi Pita Devo MaheshwarahBandava Shiva Bhaktascha Swadesho Bhuvanatrayam" Mantra for serving:When we serve food to our family/friend/guest we chant "Om Hrim Chandikayai Namah" Mantra for blessing / prayer of gratitude for the food on our plate:"Om Brahmarpanam Brahma havir Brahmagnau Brahmana hutamBrahmaiva tena gantavyam Brahma karma Samadhinah Om Purnamadah Purnamidam Purnaat PurnamudachyatePurnasya Purnamaadaya Purnameva Vasishyate" Jai Shree MaaNanda
Guest guest
That's a highly useful posting to me Nandaji, because it could advance my culinary activities by leaps and bounds. Futher some of my dm prayer books seem to have eluded me. My Annapurna, Narayan Vrat, and Sundar Kundar are gone. If I don't find them soon, it seems that I must soon make some repurchases. For those of us short of photographic memories it is rather challenging to pray without dm prayer books. I've bookmarked this posting on mantra cooking, so now I could put it to use hereforward. Thank you very much. Do you suppose that there are any mantras to enhance the shopping and growing of food? If so that could really fine tune both the food, wood and flower procurement process. It might even inspire me to return to small scale farming and lumberjacking, although the most important thing for me is to remain a tapovasin in the years/decades remaining to me.
