Hi everybody

It has been some time I showed up here.

But you know, God's ways are sometimes (maybe always?) mysterious.

Shiv Puja has been on my mind since I first ecountered it here, got

the book, put questions and then I put it away, delved into some

other practices and kind of forgot about it.

Then some time ago Shiva somehow seemed to have knocked on my inner

door kind of calling: "Hey, didn't you want to do my puja? So dear,

get going."

Something like that. So this time I really worked my way through the

Beginning Puja file, got the items, and in the process of getting the

items I was all the time busy with Shiv Puja Shiv Puja Shiv Puja Shiv

Puja Shiv Puja and so on in my mind, kind of Shiv Manasa Puja. I got

the impression the Puja started weeks before the "Doing the Pooja" began.

Which it did - at last. And my heart is so full of it - it's such a

great practice.

Thanks to Swamiji and Shree Maa for making this available to us

Westerners.

So now I am trying to find somebody to do puja together with - I hope

my wife shall be the one, at least she is interested. So there might

be a mini-sangha. Would be great.

But now my practical questions:

1) Ghee as offering: I find that the Ghee gets hard again after

melting it first. So it doesn't really mix into the panchamrt. What to

do?

2) Yantra: Can I draw the yantra in sand? Cause with water the lines

get all broken up, no adhesion.

3) Nandi: I have a Shiv-Lingam with Nandi. Do I offer abhishek to both?

Best to everybody

D

PS: I'll join the prayer group this weekend.
