Dear Sadumaa ~ thank you very much for sharing this "Guru Day"

practice. I have been looking for ideas (one having been suggested

before to read from "The Guru and The Goddess," and especially "The

Guru Gita" each Thursday.) I really like your suggestion and have

copied it down for my DM notebook (having no more room on my fridge

.... I now have to resort to a notebook :::grin:::).

Here is a mantra that someone from the Devi Mandir sent to me when I

was asking for a special guru mantra for Swamiji. I have the one for

Shree Maa, but had not seen any for Swamiji (and please note, I am

not suggesting that you use this one in place of the one you are

currently using ... just want to share what I was given). Here it is:

Om Namo Bhagavate Sri Satyananda Namo Namah

Please, for whomever* I received this from, if I am not getting this

correct, send the correct version because I am using this., Jai Maa ,

Jai Swamiji ~ Linda

P.S. Recently I was telling my hubby something during a discussion. He

began to get irritated with me, and when I asked him why, he said,

we've discussed this several times.

I felt a bit sad and reminded him that, due to my illness, I forget

things. It is not that I'm deliberately discounting what he may have

said before. I truly don't remember. I share this because, as

indicated above, I have already forgotten who sent me the mantra for

swamiji. So dear ones, if I forget who may have told me something, in

a post or off-digest, please forgive my poor memory and understand

that I mean no disrespect.

i forget everything it is washing down a great channel into infinity

itself

to forget and be forgotten

LOVE to you all here

at this moment

memory is just this mind

we will all remember

what we need to

LOVE

intention counts more than anything

everything from cleaning up to

planning great works to

detailed sadhana

comes direct from that well

praises praises praises

to the guru who has a great memory

and has no judgment

and forgets no one

and remembers only the

driving force of his bhav

LOVELOVELOVE

i remember to love that one

even if i forget his face

or his name

or his whereabouts

or what i am supposed to do

or where i am supposed to go

OM

aflame with love and steady devotion to THAT

what name how many arms

in ALL its forms

i have no worries

OM!

the best memory

is not a word or a thought

it is a feeling

that takes wing

and you ride that great swan

to forever

hey, i can say my own name

until it peels off like a candy wrapper

and blows away down then street

om!

such a joy in this empty space

filled with this loving presence.
