Guest guest
Dear All, It is that time again to sign up for the Prayer Club for the month of April. Please sign up by Friday, March 31, 5pm PST. Remember that Navaratri starts on Wednesday March 29 and Saturday April 1st is not only, Navaratri and April Fool's Day but it is the 4th day of the Shukla(bright) fortnight which is auspicious for Lord Ganesha. (A great day for reciting MM mantras!) If anybody new would like to sign up all you have to do is send in your name and a list of recipients to _Prayer_Club. The only requirement is a participant will recite the Mahamrityunjaya mantra a minimum of 21 times. The list of names is posted in the files section and the participant may choose to read the list of names aloud or simply say,"all the people on the prayer club list." A participant may choose to participate without sending in a list of recipients as well. Swamiji will also offer the list of names in his puja. Swamiji asked this question: What is the difference between prayer and meditation? Swamiji defined the Sanskrit word for prayer: The Sanskrit word 'prarthana' means prayer. Pra means the Supreme or the highest artha means the goal, objective or meaning na means manifestation Please 'meditate' upon the Sanskrit meaning for prayer and share any inspirations you might have about the difference if any, between prayer and meditation. Looking forward to hearing all of your wonderful insights which will be shared with Swamiji. _Prayer_Club
