The Chandi-Path with its transliteration and CD, is simply awesome, and feel very lucky (Laksmi) to have spiritual blessings from Maa and Swamiji." Jai Maa, Edwardji and all! i thought i would share an excerpt from Swamiji's wonderfully inspiring biography of Shree Maa, "Shree Maa, The Life of a Saint". The excerpt is taken from Chapter 2 in the section called "Wandering Years". BTW, i highly recommend this book to those who want to deepen their love and appreciation of just who beloved Shree Maa is. wink.. One look at the radiant aura wrapped around her tender frame, and not even the bravest among fools dared to approach her with impure motives. Her purity was her shield, and all who saw her readily understood who she was and what she had come to offer. It was no surprise to find her sitting in the forest of Arunachala at the break of Spring singing the Chandi Path beside a flowing mountain stream. On some days she would alternate between the Chandi and the Bhagavad Gita. "Gita", she said, "is the definition of the goal. It says again and again, 'Whatever you do, do for God. Surrender your attachment. Give up your selfishness.' The Chandi shows us how to do that. The Chandi says, 'Sit down in one asana, in one posture, and recite. Don't move your knees until it is complete. Watch the Divine Mother cut down your attachments. Away with your anger, away goes desire. One by one She takes them away.' THE CHANDI IS THE PATH TO THE REALIZATION OF THE GITA." OM. Jai Chandi Shree Maa! Jai Shiva Swamiji! Jai Thakur Ramakrishna Deva! muktimaa > > I have been revisiting my Sanskrit over the Spring break, but now don't have much time to be with you'al. Even thought I have a week before class starts, I have homework already! Nevertheless, I am prepared to ask for the Book and CD, if one is available. I'll go online to see the cost of the book, etc, then order. I shall order in a few days.
