Dear my call and everyone ~ I don't know about Vishnu, so I hope someone will be able to answer your question. If not, perhaps Swamiji can. Otherwise I am speechless and knocked off my seat, so I want to share how your question, my call, led me to rediscover something very important to me. What I was going to share with you was the Armor of the Goddess, which is in the Chandi Path. In my version (the old one, so in the new ones, the pages are different), in the Table of Contents, that section is called "The Armor of the Goddess." In my copy it begins on page 56. I had written quite a long note going over some of the what the Chandi says in this passage, and then my computer shut down. (My hubby had put in on battery to test the new wireless card and hadn't put the cable back in, so the battery ran out.) Several amazing things occurred as I scanned this "chapter." One was that I discovered that this is the passage of the Chandi that details all the Goddesses Who come out to slay the Great Ego and his army of negative thoughts. At some point it says, "These are all the Mothers, all connected in succession in the path of union..." I have made reference to this countless times in posts, but I have never been able to find the passage. (Of course, I never would have thought of looking under "Armor.") But there is was. I am so happy. Then it enumerates the armor of the Goddesses ... but what I have somehow missed, and I have read this numerous times, that the Goddesses not only have armor, but they themselves are our armor. I was stunned. I re-read passeges I have read before, but the import had never reached me. Even to the back of our ears, to our toenails, to our teeth, in every aspect of our physical beings, we are protected by these great Goddesses. How could we ever fear? And now, since I'm really really sick today (migraine this morning), I'm taking Chandi with me to do lie down and read that passage, and I will never forget the succession of the Goddesses again. Amazing! Thank you, my call, for asking your question. Jai Maa , Jai Swamiji ~ Linda
Guest guest
Linda, Just so you know, there is a Kavacha for many major forms of God/Goddess, Vishnu included. But I am not sure that this was what she was looking for in the question. The armor is for the devotee. Jai Maa!
