Guest guest
Now that I have better fortune, monetary or practical gifts rarely have a value for me. I could get them myself, so there really is no charm. The gift that really means a lot is one that is given with affection - a token that says "I care for your well being". Of late, I have been realizing something ... these tokens of love last for a short time and do leave behind pleasant memories ... but the real gift is one that makes a difference in the quality of my life. When a dear friend called and told me that she had kept me in her thoughts for Navaratri - I was touched beyond belief. It is truly the best gift of them all - one that is given with no expectations but the well being of the receiver ! If we want to give a gift to ANYONE, the gift of prayer - one that blesses the other wholeheartedly , one that wants the BEST for the other person, is (IMHO) the BEST GIFT OF THEM ALL !!! We as a group have the fabulous opportunity of giving such a gift as a part of our prayer club! To our loved ones, as well as the loved ones of our friends. Most importantly, all of us get the gift in return from our Swamiji and Mandir family when they pray for us ! Hope we will all remember to join in tomorrow to pray for everyone "in the list" - please check Prayer%20Club%20List%20of%20the%20Month/ and chant the Mahamrityunjaya mantra atleast 21 times.
