Guest guest
I will attempt over the next week or so to follow Rick Veda's example and share some of my experiences at the Devi Mandir. One was meeting Rick Veda and his lovely wife...who by chance I sat beside for the entire Sundar Kanda....nice way to meet First offering of experience...I prayed for Shree Maa to bring increase to my sadhana and devotion. She moved into my heart and took up permanent residence. Then she said to me in person, "Welcome Home". What else can be said to that. The Mothers Grace is so loving. Second offering...while stumbling along with my elementary Sanskrit trying to follow Swamiji and a small gathering of (very experienced) devotees chant the Chandi Path (very fast) we got to the section where the Goddess offers a boon to the king and to the businessman. "Then the wise businessman, whose mind was filled with indifference to worldly objects, asked for the wisdom that removes the attachments of egotism and possession." "The Goddess said: ......Oh Best of Businessmen, I grant to you the blessing that you desire of me. I bestow upon you the fullest attainment, and you will remain in the highest wisdom by which you will attain liberation." "Markandeya said: ......Having obtained the blessing from the Goddess, Good Thoughts, the best of warriors, will take his birth from the Light of Wisdom and will be come the Manifestation of Wisdom. He Who Belongs to All Colors, Tribes, and Castes. klim om." I am aware that Swamiji got his MBA before going off to India to wander with the sadhus, but there is something that happens at the Devi Mandir. Simple thoughts go through a kind of spiritual amplifier....so in that moment a loud voice exclaimed in an excited and delighted shout - the obvious in my head....Swamiji is the wise businessman and Shree Maa is Chandi...Chandi and the businessman, Shree Maa and Swamiji!!!!' Who do you know better as the "Manifestation of Wisdom" and as "belonging to all colors, tribes and castes than our very own Sadhu Guru Swamiji?!!! And for me, there is no doubt that I have found in Shree Maa the Guru at who's feet I can worship as my very own Ishta Devi Durga Maa. Jai Maa! Jai Chandi! Sadhu Maa
