Dear Srini,

This sentence, especially with the exclamation point at the end,

makes me very uncomfortable. One who is, for instance, practicing Sri

Vidya, would not agree with this statement and the value judgement

("Sattvic" as opposed to "Tamasic or Rajasic") implied (although I'm

sure you did not mean it in this way). There are so many layers of

meaning in each word, some of the meaning is extremely esoteric,

mystical and metaphoric. Thank you for your post on this subject which

is of great interest to me although I am neither a scholar or

very "advanced" in any way.
