Guest guest
Dear Eric, Surya, Nityashakti, I apologize for any confusion or discomfort. Swamiji's point is to consistently use the meaning that conveys the highest ideal. In the context of the Kali Sahasranama, He has consistently translated shukra to mean purity. If you read the Kali Sahasranama, th word shukra appears at least 34 times. As an exercise, if you like, use other meanings instead of purity. Most other meanings don't even make sense. Guest guest
Yes! That works for me! I just wanted to make the point. See, some interpret that particular scripture only in Kaula terms, usually referring to specific sexual meanings and connotations, and even claim it is a "Kaula" text. I tend to not believe in such finite boxes. There are so many Kaula lineages, etc. Hey, Purity always works for me. Jai Maa!
