Dear Danilo ~ in the Chandi Path, there is a section atha brahmadi shapa vimochanam ~And now, the Removal of the curses by Brahma and others (in my book, this starts on page 49, but the newer books ma be different). This entire section calls on all the Goddesses ~ Durga, Lasksmi, Saraswati, Kali ~ for the removal of the curses, and actually, verse 19 does say that "These are the great mantras which were recited by the Supreme Lord of Existence. Whoever will recite this Chandi Pathah in the day and in the night, will become a God without a doubt." Here is verse 17 (the one for Kali): om krim kalyai kali hrim phat svahayai rgveda svarupinyai brahma vashishtha visvamitra shapad vimukta bhava ll Om Transformation, She who Takes Aware Darkness, She who Takes Away Darkness, Maya, cut the ego! I am One with God! the intrinsic nature of the Rg Veda, may the curses of Brahma, Vashishtha and Vishvamitra be removed. Verse 19 says: ityevam hee mahamantran pathitva parameshvara l chandipatham deeva ratrau kurya dayva na samshayaha ll These are the great mantras which were recited by the supreme Lord of Existence. Whoevere will recite this Chandi Pathah in the day and in the night, will become a God without a doubt. I am not sure if you can take separate mantras from the Chandi and use them alone. I think this question came up once, and the answer was yes, but to be sure you may want to ask Swamiji. The Chandi Path is one of the most powerful scriptural texts, and may also be used as a Puja, which has been lovingly translated by Swamiji to aid in our spiritual growth. If you don't have the book, I highly recommend it. I have read it over and over, recited it (not yet up to using it as a puja, due to my health), and every time, I learn something new. This book comforts me in my illness, helps me find the strength to face the day, and allows me to know I am not alone in my difficulties or my quest. B Besides the book, you can also go to Shree Maa's website: http://www.shreemaa.org/drupal/ On the left side of the page, under "Learn More," click on "Classes." When you get to the Classes page, click on "Chandi." Then click on the Devya Kevacham, numbers 37 - 55. This is actually two chapters, so if you put your player curser about half way, that will take you to the beginning of the "Removal of the Curses" chapter. If you put your player curser almost at the end, you will come to Verse 17, which is the mantra for Kali. Please understand, that, along with reciting of the text, that Swamiji is giving wonderful commentary, so you have to be patient to find the text. For verses 16 - 20, Swamiji doesn't recite these in Sanskrit, but in English, yet still it is wonderful to hear. In fact, if you can listen to at least this section, your whole heart and mind will feel renewed ... or at least that is how it was for me, for the part I listened to.
