I recently performed a puja at a devotees house at Maa's request. The puja itself was straightforward, but the timing ... it couldnt have come at a more difficult time. Things were heating up in my office, with many of us working over and beyond our normal hours and I was already very exhausted. I was determined however to follow through on Maa's request, and sure enough I dont know how I got the energy to get up three hours earlier, drive to my friends place, conduct a 90 min puja and drive back just in time to my office. And the rest of the day too passed very peacefully ! At another time, several months ago , Maa had asked me to perform a puja for new landowners. The puja was performed outdoors as a way of sanctifying the newly purchased land. The day dawned cloudy and dreary with intermittent rain. I was resigned to getting wet. But Maa had other ideas! The rains stopped in the afternoon, giving me time to proceed with my puja. I completed the puja, walked all over the land and sprinkled it with the sanctified water. As I completed the closing prayers, I could feel it beginning to drizzle. The rain-God had decided to have his way again but his timing was impeccable. He had waited until I completed the puja. A small incident - it may have been a happy coincidence. But like earlier posts from Srini and Kalachandra who talked about "Maa answering our prayers" .... it seems to me like Maa's way of saying "you follow my requests, and I will take care of you " Jai Shree Maa Nanda
Guest guest
it seems to me like Maa's way of saying "you follow my requests, and I will take care of you " Jai Shree Maa Nanda Nanda, Thank you so much for this. In your post, I received one very clear message. I will do my best to follow Shree Maa's requests and direction. The rest will fall in place. I have to trust. It can seem daunting sometimes (for me) when trying to flip priorities in terms of what gets my time first in the world...so that the Divine Mothers work and sadhana come first. I think as I trust more and have less attachment, this will get easier. Then again...all I do is really Her work anyway...I just take my role way to seriously. Om Jai Maa! Don't think about becoming more spiritual. That very thought can sometimes be a hindrance." - Ammachi, Awaken Children, Vol.5, p19 (0353)
