Guest guest
Nisargadatta Maharaj, when asked , how his life changed from that of an ordinary shopkeeper to a realized person, replied that he had met a Guru, taken his advice to heart and practiced unceasingly for three years, at the end of which he attained self-realization. How simple he made it look ! Perhaps it IS that simple and I make it complicated ! In the Sadhana Panchakam it says "Whenever possible seek out the company of the true and knowledgeable people, and serve the sandals of their lotus feet, and ask from them even ONE letter of knowledge of Brahman and listen to the great words of wisdom from the Vedas" So Step 1 - getting the mantra from a saint is completed. The mantra is - Do the Sadhana. Chant the Chandi. In the Kilakam of the Chandi , Verse 4 says "There is no mantra, no medicine , nor anything else known, by which indifference to all can be attained WITHOUT REPEATED APPLICATION !!!" That is Step 2 - where the repeated application falters... and thats ALL I need to do to earn the Lord's grace .... and yet I make it complicated for myself. I just need to prioritize and organize and revitalise and keep going back and focussing on the chanting. This post is more than just a post - it is a reminder to myself . Do the Sadhana ! Keep at the practice CONSTANTLY ! Chant the Chandi ! And the Lord WILL come ! Peace is not far away ...
