Guest guest
Hi Larry, I enjoy your posts as well; in fact I hear to little from you I am glad you asked for this core meditation. You will find that if you apply this daily(not necessarily exclusive to other meditations, but rather as an adjunct)grace will multiplied in your understandings, your visions, and your life. It is very simple to do: --Sit as you normally would in your usual meditative posture. --I recommend using earplugs for the first week, until you become accostumed to the sound. --with earplugs in(for the first week), simply sit and give your undivided attention to the sound. --Listen to the sound--this at first will sound like a rumbling, whooshing, buzzing, hum, or vibration. It will be easy to hear with cotton or earplugs. You need not create a sound, it will be there. --Focus your undivided attention on the sound. Go deeper into it. Whatever you hear is o.k. In time you may find that you hear a new, subtle tone or tones...go deeper into them. This is actually higher vibratory rates...if you tune into them, you essence will match the vibratory rate, raising your consciousness. When this happens, you will experience profound insights, gifts of intuiton, a sense of elation...Grace will flow. --If you experience any new sensations or insights during this meditation, go with it--whatever you experience is o.k. --If you find your mind wondering with thoughts, simply acknowledge this and redirect your attention to the sound. ---Do this for 15-45 minutes daily--individual preferance take precedent here. This meditation is profound in manifold ways...it teaches us to still the mind and focus...in time, we learn to sit with no thought at all, not even attention. Secondly, while visualization is a necessary componant to meditation, learning to sit with a still mind is even more so. Only when the mind is still can we commune with the divine...Grace whispers its secrets, and we must silence the ego roar to hear and recieve it. Thirdly, the very act of tuning in to vibratory sounds actually results in our essence matching it. We find that we actually go beyond hearing it, and begin to actually go into it--merge with it. This is a profound vehicle for Grace. Continue with this invaluable meditation, and you will achieve greater powers of concentration--but the real gift will be that you are merging with the primordial sound of creation--the essence of Shakti's divine creative pulsation...Enjoy! I am intrigued by you what you call core meditation, and Shabda meditation on the inner sound. In the past I have practiced meditation on the inner sound, but I honestly don't think it is what you are referring to. If you would be so kind as to extrapolate on this subject, or point to a direction where more information on this topic could be obtained, I would be most appreciative. I always enjoy your posts!
