Guest guest
Name: Sleepers_Awake Category: Culture|Spirituality Description: "Sleepers_Awake" is an offshoot of the Nonduality Salon. The focus of this list is on the possibility of awakening from the dreams of suffering and separateness -- the "waking dreams" that so dominate our conscious lives. The approach is phenomenological -- through the alternating "states" of consciousness: sleeping, dreaming, and waking. The list is grounded in a nondual perspective and welcomes discussion of such phenomena as dreams, symbolism, and synchronicity. If you are interested check it out: //Sleepers_Awake So I've taken Jerry's hint and started (another) nonduality list. This occurred to me today at work as I noticed that many of the teachers of nonduality (e.g. Ramana Maharshi) have pointed out that consciousness exists even in the state of deep sleep, and that deep sleep possibly underlies all experience as the continuum. It seems certain that what we call "unconscious" may just be consciousness "cleaning house" as it were. Well, maybe we can get into this over there.
