Guest guest
3/3/99 Fellow One Americans, Thank you for your participation in this new party of the future. The party for the new millennium (if that phrase hasn't been used up yet). We are they that have said in our hearts that America is too good to lose. That, we will indeed lose the America we know and love if the left and right cannot come together, put aside our grievances and place Americas peace and prosperity above personal agendas. We are they who are passionate in our own personal beliefs, but do not feel that the inevitable violent disruption of our precious nation is worth forcing our beliefs upon those of opposing views. It is time for a healing in America. Let our personal beliefs be used to mold our own wills, our own lives and those of our families, but those who preach hatred and discord whether it be racial, religious, political or otherwise, let them cease in order that America may rest and be healed of her grievous wounds. How much more can she take? Let America alone! Let her rest and recover from the more than two centuries of violence and hatred she has suffered. We wouldn't wish upon our worst enemy what America has suffered, yet we continue to harass, test and provoke her, thinking she will never die. But, she will, my friends, she will. If we do not stop. Think not that I am telling people not to have personal ideals and beliefs. We would not be human if we were otherwise. A nation of robots would not be worth saving. All I am saying at this time in history if for Americans to put America first for a while. Let her alone. Let her rest. If you love her, give her some space. She is ill. America has nourished us for over two centuries. This land has nourished its natives before our society for many centuries before that. We must love her and allow her health to be restored. Even if it means that we, her children of all races, religions and creeds have to quietly get along for the next couple of centuries or so. May God Bless Us. And May God Bless America. Unfortunately, I have grown quite jaded the last few years and despite contrary opinions (hundredth monkey, critical mass, 2012, etc), I personally do not believe evolution (or nonduality)will come fast enough to lift america out of its self-induced honey bucket. I wish it were so, truly. It seems obvious to me now, and perhaps to others, that Nature is going to take care of the job. Heap enough disasters on folks' heads and they'll begin to see the nondual nature of kindness and community, especially isnce they need it to save their skins. But has it ever occurred to you that perhaps WE (of the nondual perspective) are the ones who may speed up or slow down the process? That *WE* are what is commonly known as "Grace?" Cynicism/Jadedness is really a disguise for fear, and in this case, I can't blame you for being afraid, given the current circumstances in the U.S.A. I don't know if you live in the U.S. or not, but Holland is a much "freer" country than the U.S... and if I had the money (and power to do so), I'd send you a visa and a one-way airline ticket ;-) Your (North American) Brother, Tim P.S... just seeing the "nondual nature" but not actually living the nondual perspective won't be enough. The 'nondual nature', in a dualistic environment, has to be forced upon people in some way (in my experience), as there is NEVER a perceived need for it. Thus, without TRUE nonduality, what we'll get is simply a continuation of the process and perhaps eventual global destruction through nuclear war (Eek.. hope I haven't made that cynicism even worse). >Tim, > >Yes, I know, and this has been my position through 30 years of >evolution, meditation, service.... > >Unfortunately, I have grown quite jaded the last few years and despite >contrary opinions (hundredth monkey, critical mass, 2012, etc), I >personally do not believe evolution (or nonduality)will come fast enough >to lift america out of its self-induced honey bucket.
