I follow my beloved’s too: windprints like quick eagleclaw strikes across rivers, storms stomping across roofs, wedges of determined geese in flight knowing exactly where they’re headed, herons and egrets--loners of the wetlands, dusk spouting out of a fissure in the mountains, the stingy grammar of ponds and marshes, my higher self when it abandons me to my small visions tucked away in little bat houses of memory. Folded snugly inside the small boneyards of every dove body is an eagle. In certain dove poses and tensions, you can spot one—fierce, whiffling, protective, giving no brook, a fire hardening the dove’s pot of days. * Each dove I raise is bestowed with the ritual confirmation—I explain who and where it is: ring-neck dove blueprinted by an overlighting nature deva, African descent, migratory now only in winter dreams; residence in the universe: Milky Way galaxy, a hinterland solar system on an outer spiral arm, third planet from the Sun, North America, near the Platte and Arkansas rivers in the Rocky Mountain range, Boulder, Colorado. Traditional assignment: to bring spiritual awareness to an evolving, though glacially slow, populous earth. Things to be leery of: humans with hearts and minds shaped like shotguns, self-deluded braggadocios, pouncing claws, falcons, hawks. * America’s last and sole migrations billow across the sky’s broad azure plains, bird bunches like leaf bags torn open by wind and scattering southward. Wide spaces define and clarify them, as they do us. Spiritual space is like that sky—the nonspecific containing the specific. Our spirit contains the quick reigns of our bodies, our circumstances of personality and our lives. When we die, I suspect, we recognize the nonspecificity of our beingness, birds and bags suddenly just sky. >------ >Did you know that we have over 85,000 e-mail communities at Onelist? > >Come visit our new web site and explore a new interest
Guest guest
The Soul weeps; tears fall from the eyes. A wounded heart proffers tears, but only the Soul weeps; for the Soul is not a body alone, but the Heart of the community of Spirit, And when One weeps, so do we All. The soft place of the wounded heart is connected to all. That soft place is the greatest gift of samsara. --janpa

Guest guest
Marcia: That is very interesting. I have not put this by any means but that is definitely interesting. It is interesting because of the electro-chemical nature of our physical organism. And the transmutation of negative emotional reactions seems to involve an ignition of sorts. jb wrote: > "jb" <kvy9 > > Tears > > A Sufi sheds tears over the separation from God > A mother in Africa sheds tears over loosing her starving child > A lover sheds tears over a broken heart > Separation, loss, timeless cause for heartfelt tears > > The ego laughs and the ego cries > Two sides of the same mirror > The tears of laughing and the tears of crying > Both are salty and herein lies a little secret > > Jan > > ------ > We have a new web site! > > Onelist: The leading provider of free email community services

Jan: The little secret is known to the early members from the time the I AM list was founded and to those who went through all the goodies of Jerry's website: http://www3.ns.sympatico.ca/umbada/ There was a thread on a salt-doll dissolving in the ocean with many poems like the following: A salt-doll, a good friend of mine Once paid a visit with some whine Lots of talk and the conclusion: What you need is an infusion Meditation will bring peace Concentration comes with ease Attentiveness without a pause Revealing bliss without a cause Progress went extremely fast And my friend had lots of joy Sadness belonged to the past Yet the joy seemed like a toy The salt-doll asked: "is there no more" I haven't seen the other shore Please show me more so I can find Who is the Master of my mind The salt-doll knew about the sea That it was salt and he asked me Let's go there to see the shore I'll take a swim and ask no more He was dissolving in the sea exclaimed "it really feels a lot like me I am all - who cares about the mind Thanks for the help, one day you'll find... Marcia: I have been working with the exercise of not expressing negative emotions. I accept them i.e. allow for them by not denying, repressing, justifying them and just giving the space to be. I have pondered the idea of emotions being the fuel. Now the fuel for what is another thread altogether (I think). I had this experience which was very illuminating to me. After about an hour and half of all sorts of unexpressed reactions to my teenage daughter's behavior we were finally sitting in front of her school and she was putting on makeup as I had the car running waiting for her to get out. Every cell in body wanted to yell...."Get out of the f______ car right now!" I could feel the chemistry of it. I was leaking it. It seemed as if the negative feelings were escaping my body. They were like a fluid which was larger than the area of my physical body. And I reached over and turned the car off. As I did this, I (or something) pulled the fluid in and bang (another one of those claps of thunder) and up. My vision popped to the hills and I felt like I was floating. Time became very expanded and simultaneous as I was both she (me as a child and her) and myself (my mother and me). My vision rapidly expanded and I 'saw' the generational power struggle and then even more expanded as I understood all power struggles. My point is that all of the above had a definite electro-chemical basis in my body. There was an ignition at the point of the bang. It seemed to result from the keeping of attention and the struggle not to totally give it all away. Make sense?

Jan: There are many records of what is called ESP (Extra Sensory Perception) and many occur when unconscious. The most striking one I ever met was in Switzerland where someone got injured, couldn't move and nearly froze to death. His power of observation separated from the body and could see someone else at a considerable distance. He could even transfer a feeling of anxiety, the other started a search, the man was saved from death and could give an accurate account of the events leading to his rescue.. Examples like this one are difficult to explain from body chemistry to say the least. On the other hand, many K. related transformations will change both brain and rest_of_the_body chemistry. Then, NDE like experiences can be induced by using ketamine. Some old links (haven't checked validity) are below. Yet this doesn't prove the body synthesizes its own ketamine on an NDE. Another point is the influence of food. I won't easily forget the case of the patient who was cured by a diet and was cured from zealous belief at the same time, as uric acid had been the cause for his ecstasies. http://www.totse.comFA051/ketamine.htm http://www.whatuseek.com/cgi-bin/redirect.go?url=http://www.lycaeum.org/drug s/synthetics/ketamine/Ketamine_near-death.html http://www.magnet.ch/serendipity/dmt/ket89.html
