im trying to clean up my act. Epstein-barr gave me a wake-up call. Altho i

had a lot less problems with EB than most people do. i managed to

visualize the virus *out* of myself at one point and from then on, it was

a matter of time to recovery.

Been looking into Ayurveda, found out im vata/pitta. explains the airhead

you suspected no? ;)

i know jan is probably the more informed person here. i need to transition

myself into a more healthy habit.

not sure where to start. im vegetarian. but that is lacto and ovo more

than should be.

According to the blood group "theory" my body should be living in Northern

country and the diet should contain meat :) Fact is, I'm living in a

Southern country and the diet is best described as raw food vegan (mostly

fruits though). The change from meat to (ovo lacto) vegetarian didn't bring

health benefits. When the ovo - lacto was left out (meaning a lot of

processed foods like cookies, cakes etc. were left out too) health did

increase but the yearly flues and colds remained. Quitting smoking didn't

change that. Only when a change was made to non-processed foods (no cooking,

baking etc.), health increased a great deal; flues and colds were a thing of

the past. This still doesn't mean one can binge on avocados or nuts; main

meals have to be "watery" fruits or veggies. The body becomes so pure that

any transgression from the diet will be noticed immediately by things like

crusts in the eyes when waking up in the morning.

If one can't take the plunge at once, a start could be using fruits for

breakfast and leaving the other meals unchanged, with the exception of

coffee that shouldn't be taken (if any at all) before noon. Next could be

replacing lunch by fruits and last could be to change dinner into either

fruits or a salad of raw veggies and a little avocado /nuts or seaweed. As

the stomach processes fruits within an hour, it is rather easy to have the

recommended 5 daily servings, without violating the rule not to eat before

the stomach is empty.

For those who want a little "conventional" experiment, eat cheese to your

hearts content and quench the thirst with cool, fresh grapefruit juice

(warning, this food combination may cause vomiting).
