Guest guest
days away and year's end passing, wasted longing for summer green and spring maternity. grey tired winter is cracked old snake-skin season shedding. how i've longed to see your face, knowing you means summer. Under winter trees where warm earthmother keeps heat i found red trumpet flowers and purple cones. Wild white shasta daisy and yellow weed-flower (of little girls blowing dandy-lion seeds in spring) making a nosegay i ran down the corridor of forest tunnel. somewhere i'd forgotten, then suddenly remembered, that all along you'd been here. so i placed the nosegay at the base of a winter-clad tree sat there connected base to earth center, crown to the sky. when bliss hit, summer exploded in a thick green canopy noon sky became dark green with blue stars. maitri, --janpa tsomo
